Welcome to the official Good Food Award website, where we celebrate and acknowledge culinary diversity throughout the United Kingdom. Established in 2002, we have earned a reputation as a respected authority in the food industry.
At the heart of what we do is a commitment to honour local, independent businesses that create delicious dishes. We believe these establishments are the backbone of our communities, deserving of recognition for their hard work and dedication.
Join us in celebrating the best of British cuisine:
Launched in 2014, our sister publication celebrates the best in hospitality:
Our Good Food Awards are free to enter and purely based on merit, spotlighting the most deserving¹.
We celebrate top-notch food, service, and value, basing our awards on what matters most: customer opinion. By using customer feedback/online reviews/nominations/votes², we ensure our awards reflect genuine dining experiences. Many awardees continue to shine by maintaining the high standards that first earned them recognition¹.
We also rely on data from food.gov.uk, as good food goes hand in hand with good food hygiene. We set high standards, and as of June 19, 2016, approximately 76,631 dining spots³ did not meet our Food Hygiene Rating criteria alone.
Every year, the competition among entrants is tough. With 598,096 food premises⁴ in the UK, our readers always have plenty to choose from.
Our winners regularly take the spotlight, receiving 843 press mentions in 114 publications and 186 articles last year alone!⁵ With such extensive media coverage, our awards rank among the most prominent food awards in the UK press.
If your menu features delicious dishes we invite you to apply for our prestigious Good Food Award.
Readers and fans can vote here for their favourites.
Explore our website to discover the delicious dining spots we’ve honoured and see where your next culinary adventure awaits!
