For 28 years, the Taste of Nawab in Muswell Hill, North London, has built a strong reputation as a much-loved local destination for those seeking authentic curries and warm hospitality. Our restaurant has become known for offering food and service that keeps guests coming back time and again.

At Taste of Nawab, every meal is crafted to be fit for royalty. Our Head Chef, Bablu Hussain, leads a kitchen where regional and signature dishes are freshly prepared using the finest ingredients. We use fresh herbs, freshly ground spices, premium cuts of meat, and the best vegetables to create a variety of Bangladeshi specialities alongside other regional favourites. We pride ourselves on adapting dishes to meet individual preferences and dietary needs.

When you visit, our manager, Abdul Rahman, will give you a warm welcome and make sure you feel right at home. We love to personalise meals, often adjusting our dishes to suit your tastes, and everything is freshly cooked to order, just as we would for a Nawab (an Indian Prince).

Our commitment to quality has earned us glowing reviews, five-star ratings, and several prestigious awards. Recently, we were recognised by TripAdvisor as being in the top 10% of restaurants worldwide, based on customer reviews and ratings over the past year. We were also honoured to receive the Best Restaurant of the Year award at the Currylife Awards 2024, a testament to our dedication to excellence. In support of healthy eating, we’ve reduced the amount of oil in our dishes and expanded our range of vegetarian and vegan options. Families are also welcome, with our children’s menu offering mildly spiced dishes, giving great value for everyone.
